The Capt was Awesome. The sea conditions were not the best the day we booked. So iOutdoor and Capt called and suggested we reschedule. They knew from experience the choppy seas would make for a less enjoyable time as well as was concerned for our safety. He made sure we caught fish. He did everything he could short of jumping in the water and putting the fish on the hook. If you want a great experience book with iOutdoor. You won't be disappointed, they truly care about the customer. Look forward to the next time.

BEST FISHING SEASONS IN APALACHICOLA

If you are looking to explore the waters of Apalachicola this month, inshore fishing would be best. Explore the backwaters, creeks and bays for Redfish and Trout.
Water temperatures and air temperatures are getting cooler making for interesting fishing. Go inshore fishing for Redfish, Trout, and Sheepshead whether in the backwater or river systems.
March brings warmer water and a variety of species looking for a meal. Enjoy catches of Spanish Mackerel, Pompano, along with Redfish, Trout, and Flounder. This is the start of some great fishing!
April brings about a lot of action in Apalachicola Bay. Spanish Mackerel, Pompano, Redfish, Flounder, and first arrivals from schools of Cobia. If you are looking to go offshore, you can fish for Kingfish and Jack Crevalle in schools.
Beautiful weather and temperatures means a different style of fishing. Nearshore Reefs and Wrecks are holding excellent bottom fishing for Snapper and Grouper. You can also fish inshore for Redfish and Flounder along the flats.
June brings about the best time to come inshore fishing in Apalachicola. The Tarpon are on the move and June is a great month to come catch one. Snapper, Grouper, and Amberjack are biting offshore. You can even target sharks!
Offshore fishing becomes dominant during the warmer months here in July. Enjoy catches from Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, Tripletail, and Sharks while offshore or deep sea fishing.
August is the month of big fish and big catches. Enjoy the hard-fighting species of Apalachicola. You can expect catches from Tarpon, Tripletail, and Sharks. Offshore fishing is dominated with Amberjack, Mahi-Mahi, Triggerfish, and much more!
The end of Summer is here but that doesn’t stop the fish from biting. Offshore schools of Jack Crevalle along with Amberjack and Mahi-Mahi are still strong offshore.
Inshore fishing is coming alive again with cooler weather. Enjoy catching Sea Trout and Redfish or add a Flounder for a Apalachicola Slam! Snapper and Groupers are biting nearshore. October is a great month to come fishing!
November brings great fishing for Redfish, Trout, Sheepshead and much more. You can catch Grouper and Snapper on the local reefs and wrecks.
The cooler weather shuts down the fishing here in Apalchicola but the backwaters are alive for Redfish, Trout, and Bass.

Redfish:

Redfish are one of the most popular backcountry and inshore game fish. Redfish will take a wide variety of flies, lures, and topwater plugs. This makes Redfish are one of the most sought after fish by light tackle guides and anglers. They are one of the hardest fighting fish on the grass flats. Because of this reputation and the fact that they spend most of the year in shallow water they are a great fish to sight fish with light spinning tackle or fly rod! Read more…
