Fly Fish Marco IslandFly Fishing in Marco Island

Marco Island is a gem situated at the end of Southwest Florida where The10,000 Islands begin as the  coast turns southeast until it rounds off the southern end of the peninsula.

Fly Fishing at Marco Island and out of the nearby little fishing village of Goodland, yields redfish, snook trout, tarpon and many other species.  In this region, you can count on catching fish. The marine environment is very rich and the fish population is huge.

The complex matrix of little islands that make up the shore for many miles provide a staggering number of fly fishing opportunities to explore. Without local experience, it is  possible to get lost. It has happened to more than a few.

iOutdoor captains and guides don’t get lost. This is an intricate and complex system of waterways, but these captains know their way around.

They are able to customize any trip to the needs of the fly fishing charter. It is a great place for beginning fishermen, because they will get an opportunity to catch fish. You can fish around Marco Island itself or in the nearby creeks and bays.

It is a great place for more experienced anglers because a real marine wilderness stretches out for miles and miles. As a measure of how wild it can be, The 10,000 Islands is one of the very few places in the United States where saltwater crocodiles live wild. You are still in the continental United States, but when your captain runs deep into this estuary you will feel as if you are in another world.
