What to Wear Wear casual clothing and comfortable shoes appropriate for an outdoor adventure. You will have to climb in and out of the basket, so wear something you can move comfortably in. Dress for the season and layer your clothing so that you can adjust for the warming temperatures as the morning progresses. The coolest you will be is on the ground. Once in flight, the burners will keep the basket toasty warm. In the winter, you may also consider bringing winter hats, gloves, warm socks and sunglasses. Summer attire includes long pants, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses. Open-toed shoes or sandals should not be worn. Don’t forget to bring your camera! Some people also like to bring binoculars. Remember, space in the basket is limited, so only bring essentials.
