BEST FISHING SEASONS IN TAMPA, FL

January can bring on windy conditions but you can use it to your advantage and succeed. Focus in on the structure close to shore for Redfish, Snook, Trout, Black Drum and Sheepshead as well. Largemouth Bass are spawning on the local freshwater systems.
Sightfishing is at its prime this month as the temperatures begin to warm. Check out the backwaters and grass flats for Redfish, Jack, Tarpon, Trout and Sheepshead. Bass are biting and a great time to get a big bass!
March brings a strong month for Snook fishing with catches in Trout and Redfish as well. Cruise offshore to explore some fishing for Spanish Mackerel, Tuna and Cobia.
Tampa is thriving and the fish are biting. Tarpon fishing is on the rise and the large tarpon are moving in. Redfish and Snook can be caught on the flats. April is a great month for local largemouth bass and peacock bass fishing as well.
Spring has arrived and the fishing along with the weather is fantastic. Everything is biting from Snook, Redfish, Trout while inshore fishing. Grouper, Snapper, Kingfish, Mahi-Mahi while offshore fishing. Bass are busting topwater baits early in the morning!
June is the month of TARPON fishing. Hook yourself into the Silver King for a fight like no other. You can also catch a variety of species near the mangroves including Snook and Redfish or Sea Trout on the grass flats. Travel Offshore for Spanish Mackerel, Snapper or Groupers while bottom fishing.
The warmer months are here and the fishing is productive during the early morning and late evening hours, Search deeper inshore waters for Sea Trout and Redfish. Travel out into the Tampa Bay and catch a variety of bottom species including Snapper and Grouper.
Looking for big schools of the drum species? Select areas of Tampa Bay have schools of Redfish that are incredibly fun to catch. Cooler waters that are to come promote great fishing for Snook as well. Large Snappers can be caught on the bottom.
Cooler temperatures this month allow for some great fishing. The backwaters are teaming with Redfish especially with their tail out. Get your sight fishing on!
Redfish are still active this month. Cash in, while you can. Snook fishing is picking up especially when the tide out. Sheepshead and Mangrove Snapper are biting around the Bay!
Officially, the cooler weather is here and the fishing is great. Redfish, Sea Trout, and Snook are biting strong. You can also adventure out to nearby reefs and wrecks for excellent bottom fishing as well as bites from the Spanish Mackerel.
Weather is defintely a factor this month but that doesn’t stop the fish from biting. Get out on the water and see what you can catch during the Holiday season
