Frenchy’s Restaurants

Five locations in Clearwater

For the best seafood restaurants anywhere take Highway 60 West out of Tampa, Florida until it dead ends at the ocean at Clearwater Beach. Turn right and you will run into three restaurants serving the most tender fish money can buy. The secret behind Frenchy’s Restaurants is the seafood. Early in their career Frenchy’s Restaurants made the unprecedented move of BUYING their own production fishing dock and fishing boats. The seafood served in Frenchy’s Restaurants is caught by their own people. They handle the fish with care to insure it is never frozen. The fish is caught in the gulf and immediately put on ice. The results are magnificent.

PIER 60

Pier 60 is a city owned and operated fishing pier providing visitors with a safe, clean, and family friendly fishing destination. The Pier 60 bait house located on the pier offers a complete line of fishing tackle, T-shirts, souvenirs, drinks, and snacks for your convenience. We offer rental equipment, a full line of bait, and a staff that is knowledgeable and eager to assist you.

The most common fish that can be caught include Spanish Mackerel, Spotted and Silver trout, Snook, Redfish, Tarpon, Sheep head, Snappers, Flounder, Jacks, and numerous others depending on the season. One of the reasons Pier 60 is so popular is the pier’s many lights, ideal for night fishing. Lights are a natural fish attractant. They draw in small baitfish, which in turn draw game fish, especially snook. Pier 60 is noted for its snook fishing. Not just any old snook, but big snook. It’s not uncommon for 20-pounders to be hauled over Pier 60’s rails on most nights

Clearwater Bait & Tackle

Located conveniently off SR 60/ Gulf to Bay — this place has GOT to be considered an institution of the area.  A dingy little place where you can stop to pick up weights, live bait (shrimp, worms, small fish) and/or limited selection of fake stuff.   Again, be forewarned, this place is dirty and smelly, but does carry all your on the spot fishing needs.
