HARRIS CHAIN FISHING CHARTERS

Harris Chain Fishing Charters

Harris Chain Fishing Charters welcomes you to the TOP destination for bass fishing in Florida. Many Central Florida anglers and travelers would agree that the Harris Chain of Lakes is one of the BEST in Central Florida for Trophy Largemouth Bass. The Harris Chain of Lakes is a waterway system that leads north to the Atlantic Ocean, through the St. John's River and Ocklawaha River. It is located roughly about 30 minutes northwest of Orlando, which is a perfect distance for a family getaway and fishing adventure.

It covers approximately 76,000 acres of water and is an interconnected NINE bass fishing haven. You can put in at Lake Harris and access all the lakes on one trip. It may take a while but every lake will provide a uniquely different fishing atmosphere. A number of small cities and numerous waterfront homes surround the lake making lakefront activities, fishing and boating are some of the popular activities with visitors and locals as well.

When we talk about Florida lakes, I knew that no better place to target big bass at times. The Harris Chain of Lakes is a legendary fishery known to produce trophy-sized bass. If you fish it right and come during the spawning months, you have a great chance at catching a GIANT bass. Winter months are best for the spawn while spring brings around a lot of action and numbers.

The canals are the best place to start in the spring season. They are loaded full of pads, grass, and underwater structure. The surrounding area makes fish easier to find and most anglers catch these resident fish hassle-free. Texas-rigged plastic worms work year-round along with crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and topwater lures. The deeper canals have generally better fishing. Although, during January through April, the shallower canals hold larger fish and the water clarity is good for sight fishing.

The Harris Chain of lakes contains a huge variety of water charities and colors that provide great fishing conditions all year long. The Kissimmee grass is the primary cover but the eelgrass, peppergrass, lily pads, reeds, and cattails also hold excellent waters for big bass.

As per the state of Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission, the Harris Chain of Lakes is one of the top-rated destinations for bass fishing in Florida. The Harris Chain of Lakes is a regular stop for the Bassmaster tour, the chain is not the favorite among touring pros because of trophy bass for several and very less for everything else. There was a time when the Harris chain was considered as number one trophy bass fishing destination in Florida.

Now is your time to experience it for yourself. Bring your family, friends, and loved ones along for a fishing adventure of a lifetime! We look forward to seeing you on the water next time.
