WELCOME TO FT LAUDERDALE INSHORE FISHING

In Fort Lauderdale there is a labyrinth of complex canals called the intercoastal waterway. These waterways provide fisherman with unbelievable opportunity for inshore fishing. It’s a new adventure every time the boat leaves the dock. Depending on time of year there is night fishing as well as day fishing, it is a very high quality habitat for Snook, Sea Trout, Tarpon and Barracuda. Near the port inlet you can harvest Spanish Mackerel, Pompano, Bluefish, Flounder, Snapper and Tarpon that slip in and out daily with the tide.

Snook fishing and Tarpon fishing two of the highlights when the timing is right, it is a great thrill. Just off the beaches or down intercoastal canals you can experience excellent Ft Lauderdale inshore fishing. Our Ft Lauderdale inshore fishing charters are private and teach you about the areas and species you will be fishing. If you are looking for a calm environment to go out fishing, one of our Ft Lauderdale Inshore Fishing Charters is the way to go. Search the waters for your favorite species, especially the abundant and hard-fighting Snook. A gator-size sea trout with mouth agape as it charges your lure will stamp a picture in your mind that will not fade. There are some wild and beautiful spots, but it takes an iOutdoor local guide to know the best opportunities that any given day might offer. The on-the-water team at iOutdoors has that special knowledge. Ft Lauderdale finest guides are experienced and motivated to show you the best fishing experience.

F.A.Q.

Are reservations necessary?2018-05-29T09:36:06+00:00

Yes, the fishing charters sell out. We only have certain amount of boats set for each day. The captains do not allow passengers on the boat without advance reservation.

How long does it take before we start fishing?2018-05-21T13:41:11+00:00

The drive takes different times for different locations and styles of charters. Most inshore and freshwater charters take a 5 to 15 minute boat ride before starting to fish. The offshore charters are ones that can vary based on weather and species of fish the captain is fishing for. It could be 15 minutes, but up to 45 minutes. Again refer to your captain on his call with you and he can provide a detailed plan.

What is your hurricane fishing policy?2020-02-05T17:11:20+00:00

If a hurricane or tropical storm threatens to spoil your fishing trip, we promise to secure full refunds for customers with prepaid charters.

Do we stop while we are out on the water?2018-05-21T13:43:01+00:00

It depends on the customer and type of charter. If passengers wish to take a break, we can stop at scenic areas to stop take pictures, use restrooms or get a bite to eat when available. The charter time is yours, you book for 6 hours and want to fish for three hours and sightsee for 3 hours, that's okay with us. We do ask that you communicate that with the captain, they are fishing captains and focused on catching you fish, so that's what they do unless you advise otherwise.

Will you pick me up from my hotel?2018-05-29T09:36:40+00:00

No, we do not offer courtesy pick-up and drop-off service from hotels as we are pulling the boats and most places we can not turn around. It's most convenient to use Uber or Lyft car service.

How do people dress?2018-05-29T09:40:11+00:00

In layers is best, but fishing is casual. A sundress for ladies with bikini underneath is not uncommon. Khaki shorts for guys is as dressed up as anyone ever gets, long pants work if you're not use to the sun. In the same vein, there are no “styles.” Get comfortable with whatever dress code is norm. But always try to wear light colors as they are cooler.

Compliments to Capt. Dave Rhoden, so good that we booked him twice. Six months ago we came to Florida for a medical treatment and had a great time with Capt. Dave. Coming out here again, I asked my kids (ages 5 and 6) what they wanted to do, my little son didn't think twice, "Fishing with Capt. Dave!" Sure enough, Capt. Dave got us on even more fish than on our last trip. My kids had a great time! Thank you so much! God bless!

Had a great time with Captain Wayne, he was very easy to talk to and it was clear he knew what he was doing! Despite getting caught up in a few trees he was very patient and always willing to help out. It was a colder morning but he still put us on the fish!
