BEST FISHING SEASONS IN MOSQUITO LAGOON

Weather is getting colder but the fish are biting. You may not be able to harvest Snook this month but you can hook into one. Make sure you release them! Live bait is light in the Lagoon but Big Sea Trout are biting and are a tasty treat.
This is a great month to catch Redfish. Large schools are moving in trying to capitalize and feed on the Shrimp run! Get hooked up on one of these schoolies.
Bait fish are on the move and that is stirring up some excellent inshore fishing. The Black and Red Drum are eating along with sea trout, sheepshead, and many more!
April brings along some excellent weather and great inshore fishing. Sea Trout are eating and biting strong. You can also catch some nice Snook in deeper water near Jetties. Enjoy catching Redfish as well!
As the weather warms, Tarpon begin to role in. Sea Trout are still biting very good and the Black Drum are slowing down. Redfish are getting ready to eat all month long.
June starts Snook Mating Season, so we do not advise targeting them. Just offshore you can catch Cobia, Spanish Mackerel and many more. Tarpon can be caught along with Redfish in deeper water.
July is a very warm month along with a great month for Tarpon fishing in big numbers especially on Fly. Trophy sized Redfish will also bite a deep or alive bait on the bottom.
It is about to be BIG BULL REDFISH SEASON. Snook are still forbidden until the end of the month. Sea Trout can still make it to the dinner table.
Hungry Snook make for a great fight while inshore fishing. Tarpon are moving out of the shallows and BULL REDFISH are moving in looking to feed. Now is your chance to catch a trophy fish.
Cooler weather means Snook are moving to deeper water depending on where the Mullet are. Redfish are around the Lagoon looking to feed. You can also catch Cobia near shore.
The Lagoon is filling up with BIG Sea Trout allowing you to capitalize on a strong bite while waiting for a BULL Redfish.
The Lagoon is calling for LIVE BAIT and if you are fishing anything else, you may not be successful. Many species including Redfish, Trout and Snook are schooling up.
