Exploring Different Fishing Locations

Lake Okeechobee is one of the best bass fishing locations in the state of Florida. Sometimes the most exciting part of Florida Fishing is Exploring Different Fishing Locations in order to test your knowledge.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Ted and Will traveling from Canada to catch a Lake Okeechobee largemouth. They have never fished on the lake and wanted to while visiting Florida.

The first two hours we struggled and grinded to find some fish. It took some time for me to pick up on what the weather pattern could be with the weather conditions that were in place.

The wind was blowing in a unique direction and I had to pull out multiple locations from my repertoire that could have worked. We checked out some of the spots to find I was onto something.

Once we started fishing, it was on and the bass were biting good. We filled up the boat quickly with numbers of bass. Ted and Will could not find any giant fish but had fun catching the amount they did.

They ran out of live bait fairly quickly and caught multiple on artificial baits as well. Swim jigs and crank baits were the most effective baits to throw.

Ted and Will had a blast out on the water. They were super nice guys and some awesome people to fish with.

We are looking forward to fishing with them again in the future. This season is due for some excellent fishing adventures whether on Lake Okeechobee or the variety of other locations we offer here. Don’t miss out on your adventure today!
