I had the pleasure of fishing with Jeff and some of his clients. They were traveling from Texas and wanted to experience what Lake Okeechobee had to offer.
Originally they were going to go saltwater fishing but rough seas prevented them from doing so. Exploring Lake Okeechobee was a great additional option for the group.
We met and picked up bait from Garrads on the North End and set off for a great fishing trip. Finding the bite took some time but we made it happen. It was game on once we found them.
Jeff and his group caught over 40 fish with a mix of largemouth bass, mud fish and gar. It is always awesome to get a flavor of what the lake truly has to offer. They had a great time out on the water and are looking forward to coming back soon.
The Lake is looking incredible and the hurricane actually helped produce new water and areas that we can fish. Winter is right around the corner and we book up very quickly, so plan a vacation south and lets put you on a fish of a lifetime.
