Okeechobee Florida Fishing Trip
Florida is home to the best outdoor activities you can experience under the beautiful sunshine. When you are traveling to the state, make sure you explore an Okeechobee Florida Fishing Trip in replacement of just golfing the whole time.
I had the pleasure of fishing with Danny and his son Tommy. They were traveling from Miluakee to golf and wanted to catch some Okeechobee largemouth bass. While hanging out in Tampa, they made the trip over to the North End of Lake Okeechobee.
You can beat adding an 8 hour day to your vacation out on one of the best lakes in the country. Danny and Tommy caught bass on both artificial and live bait. We had an early start and experienced some rain because of it.
After 3 hours of rain, we finally started to see the quality we were looking for. Danny caught a 5 pounder with Tommy to match it with a 4.5 pounder. They caught right around 30 bass on this trip.
Once the shiners were done, we dragged an artificial Carolina rig. They loved catching bass with this method as well. Carolina rigs were successful in the deeper waters of the main lake.
One of the best parts of this trip was the conversation and company they offered. We had a great time and they were great people. I am looking forward to fishing with them again in the future.
The Lake is looking fantastic with water clarity clearing up. We should have some great spawns this year.
Book your trips now because the Northerners are already starting to feel the cold and planning their vacations south. Give us a call here at Bass Online and enjoy a fishing adventure of a lifetime!
